PCPA Scholarship Opportunities

The PCPA of Greater Chicago offers several merit-based scholarship opportunities provide financial assistance and educational support to aspiring accountants. This program is designed to help students pursuing a degree in accounting to achieve their academic and professional goals by alleviating financial burdens and offering opportunities for professional growth within the field of accountancy. These scholarships are categorized into three types:

Scholarships funded by outside organizations, coordinated through PCPA.
  • AICPA Minority Scholarship

    Awarded to outstanding minority students pursuing accounting. Managed through the National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants (NCPACA).

  • Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) Scholarship

    Funded by the CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois. Open to Illinois-based accounting students with strong academics and financial need. PCPA selects one scholar annually.

Scholarships funded directly by the PCPA Foundation to support students in the Philippines, endorsed by a PCPA member.
  • Eligibility:
  •   Must have completed at least 60 college credits (Junior/Senior level).
      Must maintain at least 2.5 GPA or 85% in accounting subjects.

  • Award Amount:

    $300 per semester paid directly to the educational institution.

Donations from PCPA members or partners for specific scholarship awards in cash or kind. These scholarships follow donor-specified criteria and are managed by the PCPA Foundation.

How to Become a PCPA Scholar?

To become a PCPA Scholar, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria set by PCPA. This typically includes being enrolled in an accredited accounting program and maintaining a strong academic record. Follow our step-by-step process below for any interested applicants. Successful applicants will receive financial support to help them complete their accounting studies.

Ensure you meet the requirements, which typically include enrollment in an accredited accounting program and having a strong academic record.

Prepare Necessary Documents

Gather the required documents, which may include academic transcripts, recommendation letters (from professors or professionals), proof of enrollment and payment of applicable tuition fees.

Complete and Submit the Application

Complete the PCPA Scholarship Program application form thoroughly, attach all required supporting documents, and submit it by the specified deadline—either online or through the designated submission method. Please note that some applicants may be invited for an interview or additional evaluation as part of the selection process.

Wait for Notification and Receive Benefits

After your application is reviewed, the PCPA will notify successful applicants. If selected, you will receive financial support and any additional benefits as part of the scholarship program to assist with your accounting studies.
